This weekend the Foley family was attending a wedding at St Aloysius church, Sevenhill, with the reception at a local winery. Well, the wedding was postponed with the young couple sending a tearful, apologetic email. How many people and businesses have been affected? Lots, but through this there has been lots to be thankful for. Our families are well, family from Italy hope they might be able to attend the wedding in the future, our accommodation generously refunded us in full and people have been kind, understanding and supportive of each other.
However, you may be finding it challenging to feel calm and peaceful. Not sleeping? Try the CALM APP Our inclination can be to check our news feed or watch the news 24/7, so here are some common-sense ideas to stay positive: Limit the news, exercise, dress up ( red was the lipstick colour of choice for many women in the Second World War), be kind and patient with yourself, pray for others, have fun cooking one of grandma’s old school recipes, revisit your book collection, organise one drawer, but most of all, stay in touch. In Rabbi Kanefsky’s words: “Every hand that we don't shake must become a phone call that we place.”
Let’s dance as people of God: All the World Clap Your Hands
God Bless,
Stella Foley
