UPCOMING REMINDERS

Colour Run and Sacred Heart Church Funeral
This Friday, our Colour Run will begin at 1.00pm. See Audiri for further information on the schedule for each cohort.  Please note that the Sacred Heart Church will be holding a funeral at the same time. We kindly request that all school families refrain from parking in the Parish car park on this day to show respect for the family and the Parish community. We greatly appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Parking Compliance
The local council has recently contacted the school to ensure that families are following the parking regulations around the school. Please be mindful of the signage in place and adhere to all parking rules to avoid fines.

Toilet Facilities
The toilet block near the OSHC Courtyard is clearly marked with separate adult and student toilets. We ask parents to please use the individual toilet labelled "Adult Toilet" and not enter the student toilets. If you are assisting your child or need to use the facilities, kindly use the designated adult facilities.

OSHC Capacity
We are working to increase the capacity of our Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) service to meet the growing demand from families. This process requires significant documentation and approval from the Education Standards Board, and while it is a challenging task, Miffy and Elly are dedicated to progressing this matter as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience and support.

Arriving at school before 8.20am

We have noticed an increase in the number of students arriving at school before 8:20 am, with some being dropped off as early as 8.00 am. Please be aware that there is no supervision in the yard before 8.20 am, which raises safety concerns for these early arrivals.

To ensure the safety of all students, any child who arrives at school before 8:20 am will be taken to our OSHC (Out of School Hours Care) service, which will incur a charge to the family.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in helping us keep all students safe.

The December 2024 / January 2025  Vac care form which is now live on the school’s website.

SAPSASA Mountain Bike Competition

For the past 2 years, Year 5/6 Star of the Sea students have been taking part in the SAPSASA Mountain Bike Competition at Craigburn Farm Trails and will continue to do so in 2025.  Head for the Hills is one of the supporting businesses of the carnival and offer various programs for children 8 – 15 years old who would like to get into riding and are currently advertising their Adelaide Dirt League (Mountain Bike Riding) programmes for 2025.

If your child enjoys riding and have energy to burn this may be for them.  If you are unsure if this program is for your child, they are offering a Come & Try session for Under 10 and Under 13 riders at Eagle Mountain Bike Park on May 11 at 9am – 11am. You will have an opportunity to meet their fantastic coaches, ask questions and get some skills coaching and riding in.  For further information about the Adelaide Dirt League please head to:
